Effect of dependency in spanish regions: affected people and costs linked to their assistance

The approval and implementation of Long Term Care Law has opened a new field for public policies. According to this Law, the Regional Governments will be in charge for offering the services needed. For this reason, it can be adequate to know if the impact of this new service will be the same amongst all the territories. This paper tries to estimate how many dependent people would have the right to receive public aid in each Region and what their cost will be, not only in the present moment but also in 2015. For that time, it is supposed that the public system will be fully implemented.
